GIEE DG System Impact Study Assessment Tool V1.0 released!

This tool is used to determine whether detailed study will be required to assess Distributed Generation (DG) impact on the power quality of the electrical power system. This assessment is based on the value of the stiffness factor which can be found by calculating the ratio between the available electrical power system fault current (Isc) at the point of interconnecting the DG and the DG’s full rated output current (IDG).
