Last Updated: May 9, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms“) govern your access to and use of giee.org and all related services (collectively, the “Services“) operated by Global Institute of Electrical Engineering (“GIEE“, “we”, “our”, or “us”), based in Trumbull, Connecticut, USA.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Services. By using GIEE, you confirm you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

3. Account Registration

To enroll in courses or access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Take responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Courses, Certifications, and Content

Course Access

Upon enrollment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access course content for the duration specified at purchase.

Self-Paced Courses

Have a 90-day completion window from enrollment date unless otherwise stated.

Self-Paced Courses

Self-paced courses provide 6 months of full access from the date of enrollment, with a 90-day completion window for all coursework and the final exam. After the 90-day completion window, students may continue to access course materials in read-only mode for the remainder of the 6-month access period.

Certifications

Issued upon meeting completion criteria, including required passing grades. GIEE certifications signal mastery of specific course content but are not accredited degrees or government-recognized credentials.

Content Ownership

All course materials, videos, documents, and content are the intellectual property of GIEE or our licensors. You may not record, redistribute, resell, or share course materials without written permission.

Mastery Bundles

Mastery Bundles combine multiple related courses at a discounted package price. Students enrolled in a Mastery Bundle receive access to all included courses under the same access terms as individual courses (6 months access, 90-day completion window per course).

5. Payments and Refunds

Pricing

Course prices are listed at the time of enrollment. We reserve the right to change pricing for future enrollments.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. By making a purchase, you agree to their respective terms.

Refunds

Effective: May 9, 2026. This policy supersedes any prior refund terms.

Free courses: No refund applicable.

Paid courses: Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase, provided that less than 25% of course content has been accessed. To qualify for a refund, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The refund request is submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date.
  • Less than 25% of the course content has been accessed or completed.
  • The final exam has not been started.
  • The course has not been marked as completed.
  • Course materials, datasets, or downloadable resources have not been downloaded.

Refunds are NOT available in any of the following circumstances:

  • The 7-day refund window has expired.
  • More than 25% of the course content has been accessed.
  • The course has been completed.
  • The certification examination has been started or attempted.
  • Course materials, datasets, code samples, slide decks, or other downloadable resources have been downloaded.
  • For Mastery Bundles and Certification packages: any included course has been started.
  • Certification examination retake fees: non-refundable once paid.

Mastery Bundles and Certification Programs: Bundles and certification packages are non-refundable once any included course has been started. Within the 7-day window and prior to starting any included course, the standard refund conditions above apply.

Refund Limits:

  • One refund per student per 12-month period. Students who have received a refund within the prior 12 months are not eligible for additional refunds.
  • GIEE reserves the right to deny refund requests where abuse patterns are detected, including but not limited to: multiple refund requests from the same student, IP address, or payment method; suspicious enrollment and refund patterns; or evidence of content downloading prior to refund request.

Region-Specific Consumer Protection: If applicable consumer protection laws in your region require refund terms more favorable than those above, those laws apply. For example, students in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection regulations.

Refund Process: To request a refund, contact support@giee.org with: your full name and the email address used at purchase; the course or product name and order number; the date of purchase; and the reason for the refund request. Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and credited to the original payment method. Additional time may be required by the payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, or your bank) before funds appear in your account.

Discretion: GIEE reserves the right to evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Approval of a refund is at GIEE’s sole discretion within the bounds of applicable law. Decisions on refund requests are final.
