1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms“) govern your access to and use of giee.org and all related services (collectively, the “Services“) operated by Global Institute of Electrical Engineering (“GIEE“, “we”, “our”, or “us”), based in Trumbull, Connecticut, USA.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use our Services. By using GIEE, you confirm you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3. Account Registration
To enroll in courses or access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Take responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. Courses, Certifications, and Content
Course Access
Upon enrollment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access course content for the duration specified at purchase.
Self-Paced Courses
Have a 90-day completion window from enrollment date unless otherwise stated.
Live Training
Attendance requirements (typically 80%) apply for live courses to receive credit.
Certifications
Issued upon meeting completion criteria, including required passing grades. GIEE certifications signal mastery of specific course content but are not accredited degrees or government-recognized credentials.
Content Ownership
All course materials, videos, documents, and content are the intellectual property of GIEE or our licensors. You may not record, redistribute, resell, or share course materials without written permission.
5. Payments and Refunds
Pricing
Course prices are listed at the time of enrollment. We reserve the right to change pricing for future enrollments.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. By making a purchase, you agree to their respective terms.
Refunds
- Free courses: No refund applicable.
- Paid courses: Refunds may be requested within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 25% of the course content.
- Certification programs: Refunds are evaluated case-by-case after the 14-day window has passed.

Subscription Services
If applicable, subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Share your account credentials with others
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute our content
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise our systems
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
7. AI Tools Policy
GIEE permits the use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) for course labs and learning activities. However:
- AI tools are PROHIBITED during quizzes and final exams.
- All certifications are revoked if AI-assisted exam fraud is detected.
- We may use detection tools to identify AI-generated submissions.
8. Intellectual Property
GIEE Property
All website content, courses, branding, logos, and materials are owned by GIEE or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Your Submissions
By submitting content to GIEE (assignments, comments, feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content for educational and operational purposes.
User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of original work you create, but grant GIEE a license to display it within our Services for educational purposes.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Course outcomes vary by individual and depend on student effort. GIEE makes no guarantees regarding career advancement, salary increases, or specific job placement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Content will meet your specific requirements
- Defects will be corrected immediately
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GIEE and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid GIEE in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold GIEE harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:
- Your access to course content ceases
- Earned certifications remain valid
- These Terms continue to apply for any past obligations
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
14. International Users
If you access GIEE from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
